Australian Clinical Education Services (ACES) was formed through the partnership between CALS Australia—known for delivering over 1,000 CALS and REACT courses globally each year—and A to E Training Solutions, the UK’s largest private resuscitation training provider. Together, they bring deep expertise in acute care education, simulation, digital learning, and clinical governance.

ACES was established to provide a unified national platform for high-quality, evidence-based clinical training across Australia and New Zealand. Its programs blend multidisciplinary education, structured frameworks, and simulation-rich scenarios to enhance patient safety and workforce capability.

ACES is progressing toward becoming a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), enabling nationally recognised qualifications, stronger assessment pathways, and aligned accreditation frameworks. Becoming an RTO will strengthen academic rigor, support digital eLearning expansion, and formalise ACES’ role as a leading provider of clinical education across the region.

CALS stands for Cardiothoracic Advanced Life Support. It is a specialised acute care course designed for clinicians managing deteriorating or arresting patients after cardiac surgery. The training focuses on evidence-based protocols, defined team roles, human factors, pacing, emergency re-sternotomy, and simulation-based management of post-operative cardiothoracic emergencies.

REACT is a specialised course for Resuscitation and Acute Catheterisation Lab Emergencies. It is designed for multidisciplinary teams working in cardiac catheter labs and adjoining recovery areas, where patients may rapidly deteriorate or arrest. The course uses structured protocols, visual aids, teamwork principles, and simulation to improve coordinated emergency response in that specific clinical environment.
