Dr Adrian Levine is an experienced cardiac surgeon with a 20-year consultant career and one of the highest operative volumes in the United Kingdom (UK), ultimately performing more than 6,000 procedures. Clinically, he specialised in heart failure surgery and developed a reputation for managing complex, high-risk patients with excellent outcomes. 

Across his career, Dr Levine has held significant leadership roles at hospital, regional and national levels (in the UK), directing major service transformation programmes, theatre productivity initiatives and governance reviews. His work has consistently focused on improving clinical pathways, enhancing operational efficiency, and strengthening organisational safety cultures. 

Together with his co-founder, Dr Joel Dunning, he developed the internationally recognised CALS and REACT training programmes. This work led to the creation of CALS UK Ltd and, following his emigration to Australia, CALS Australia PTY LTD. Today, these organisations collectively distribute more than 1,000 CALS and REACT courses worldwide each year, supporting a rapidly growing global Centre of Excellence network and shaping standards of resuscitation in cardiac surgery and catheter laboratory environments. 

Dr Levine is now the Chief Executive and Co-Founder of Australian Clinical Education Services (ACES) PTY LTD, leading national expansion in advanced resuscitation and clinical education across Australia and New Zealand. He also maintains an active consultancy portfolio across the NHS, delivering multidisciplinary improvement programmes in surgery, anaesthesia and critical care.

An internationally recognised educator and guideline author, he has contributed extensively to global training pathways in cardiac surgical resuscitation. Since emigrating to Australia in 2022, he continues to advance clinical education, innovation and high-quality patient care.
